Gaming content continues to thrive, we’re aligning strategic long term focus on our editorial team covering various areas of esports, pop-culture gaming, and web3 gaming. We're hiring a Senior Content Editor for our core team to manage and launch our news content.

This person will have had some prior experience as a staff writer, contributor, or editor for gaming and/or esports related publications.

This person should be aspiring to grow as a core team member and possible future leader for a growing editorial content team in gaming

Responsibilities

• Coordinate online publishing cycles and manage content areas
• Apply publication standards and establish execute goals related to the written content of the publication
• Suggest stories and generate headline ideas in alignment with targeted audience’s preferences
• Write a regular set of pieces to the publication
• Source and manage a pool of contributors to the publication
• Proofread, edit and improve stories or pieces
• Sample Tasks
  • Managing, editing, publishing press release kits related to coming esports and gaming news
  • Managing, editing, publishing contributing writers content
  • Interviewing and writing a feature article on a rising gaming personality
  • Attending launch events as press media

Qualifications & Skills

• Agility and speed in content and updates—gaming often has breaking news, being able to quickly update templates or interact with trending content is a key skill
• Excellent written English ability
• Likes or is interested in esports and gaming
• Strong writing. editing, proofreading skill and an excellent portfolio
• Great organizational skills; ability to manage multi-deadlines
• Adept at internal and external communication and keeping calm under high-pressure situations
